Focus on: Tamara Christensen
Tamara Christensen, founder of Idea Farm, is on a mission to transform the way it feels to work. She is a passionate and empathetic leader who combines 20 years of experience in design thinking, facilitation, teaching, research and collaboration to design playfully productive engagements. Tamara is known for delivering audacious work experiences that catalyze creative thinking, align diverse points of view and accelerate decision-making. Her clients, aka Friends of The Farm, include Honeywell, Johnson Controls, the New York Times, VML, Arizona State University and the Boys & Girls Club.
Tamara has designed and taught courses on creative problem solving, design research and user experience, facilitative leadership and design pedagogy. She completed facilitator training with the annual Creative Problem Solving Institute and Strategic Play and presents at events around the world including Mindcamp, CPSI, CREA and IxDA.
In a survey of those in the know, Tamara was metaphorically described as a hotpot, a glass of prosecco, an Energizer bunny, a sharpie, and a whirling dervish. She is particularly fond of alliteration, belly laughs and sing talking. Tamara is the proud mom of an aspiring Willy Wonka Mythbuster Football star, who will be attending Mindcamp this year for the first time!
Tamara Christensen has presented:
- Your Facilitator Fantasy (2015)
- Feel This Creativity: Brainstorming across the senses (2010)
