2018 Session Description

Dash It Weh
How to release your stuff and embrace the perfection of your imperfection

For adults • 90 minutes
Category: Body/Mind

In our quest for perfection, excellence, professionalism and whatever else we are told we should pursue, stuff gets in the way. And even when the stuff has passed or no longer exists, we still hold on to it — decrying or denying the mess. In the end, it’s only we who hold ourselves back from appreciating the untidy, chaotic perfection of whatever we created.

This workshop is for people like me – Type A, who stress themselves over and over about situations that are long past, as if anyone cares or even remembers. Together we will:

  1. Share stories of when we messed up (or think we did)
  2. Examine what we were holding on to
  3. Pull out the good and wonderful from these stories
  4. Explore how we can forget and move on

The Skinny: 3 things you will do in this session

  • Learn a new way of looking at our mess-ups, by asking one crucial question
  • Learn a technique that instantly allows you to lighten up and let go (hint: begins with L and involves joyous sounds)
  • Experience the joy and freedom of self-release
